About

We support people who want to volunteer and community agencies, non-profits, charities and people who support the volunteer sectors. We help develop their capacity to anticipate, celebrate, and meet the community needs in Manitoba. Our contributions include connecting people with volunteer opportunities, promoting volunteerism, and providing leadership and counsel in the non-profit and voluntary sector.

Our Work

  • We monitor trends, gather knowledge, build capacity, and share information.
  • We recognize successes and offer solutions to challenges.
  • We represent volunteers and reflect the collective voice of Manitoba non-profits, charities and community groups.
  • We encourage and celebrate volunteerism, understanding the value of giving back to Manitoban communities.

Mission

Volunteer Manitoba promotes and recognizes volunteerism across the province, connects Manitobans, and builds capacity to meet community needs.

Vision

Volunteer Manitoba is the leader and catalyst for engaging all Manitobans in volunteerism.

Territory Acknowledgment

Volunteer Manitoba is located on the original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Anisininew, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. We acknowledge that the clean water we drink comes from Shoal Lake 40 first nation, and that our electricity is produced on treaty territory. Volunteer Manitoba respects the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration
