Description of Duties:

Position Summary:
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Pride Winnipeg's online presence across various social media platforms. As part of the Community Engagement team, this role serves as the digital voice of Pride Winnipeg, working closely with the Marketing team to execute engaging campaigns that promote community involvement and brand awareness.


Duties & Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement strategies to grow and engage Pride Winnipeg's social media community.


- Create and schedule engaging content tailored to each platform, ensuring alignment with brand messaging.


- Actively interact with followers, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries to foster a strong online community.


- Design visually appealing and compelling posts that encourage engagement and participation.


- Analyze website and social media traffic to optimize posting schedules and engagement strategies.


- Collaborate with the Marketing Division to develop social media advertising and promotional campaigns.


- Stay up to date with trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to enhance Pride Winnipeg's digital presence.


- Provide recommendations for improving social media strategies and community engagement.


- Participate in committees and special projects as assigned by the Community Relations Director or Board of Directors.


- Ensure efficient use of resources, time, and materials to support department objectives.

   
Skills Required:

- Experience in social media management, content creation, or a related field.


- Proficiency in various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.


- Proven ability to create compelling, high-quality content that drives engagement.


- Familiarity with social media analytics, SEO, and marketing strategies.


- Strong understanding of digital trends and audience engagement techniques.


- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


- Ability to build and maintain relationships within a diverse team and online community.


- Creative, self-motivated, and innovative in approach.


- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
