Organizational Description: We are a volunteer run organization that arranges an outdoor curling bonspiel on the Red River in Winnipeg over the first full February weekend (Fri-Sun). Funds raised from the bonspiel support the Heart and Stroke Foundation and HOPE worldwide Canada. First established in 2001 with 11 teams at the first event in 2002, we have had as many as 72 teams participate in our annual bonspiel event, which makes us the largest outdoor curling bonspiel in Canada. We still have room to grow with the wonderful support from all the great volunteers we meet.

Description of Duties:

Working closely with the Director to provide general oversight of the project process. This would include taking meeting notes with action items, managing the project management tools, following up on action items, helping to answer emails.

   
Skills Required:

Leadership, organization and communication skills. Previous project management experience. Experience establishing work flow processes. Experience note taking. Familiar with project tracking. Able to work with a variety of Volunteers, sponsors and organizations.

Leadership, planning and contributing to the community. Connecting with different organization and people in Winnipeg.

Time Commitment:

A core role in the organization. Time commitment is higher in the months of January and February when the event takes place. Other months are a reflection of your capacity.
