| Description of Duties: | The Animal Care Workforce Volunteer position is ideal for someone studying for an animal-related or conservation career. If you are, the Animal Care Workforce Volunteer position might be right for you! If you have an interest in spending quality time at Assiniboine Park Zoo and supporting our staff in their daily tasks, we invite you to join our dedicated Workforce Volunteers. |
| Skills Required: | - student interested in pursuing a career in animal care or conservation or registered in a related university or college program - previous wild animal experience (not house pets) may be considered - be 18 years of age or older - provide their own steel toe boots that will be kept at the Zoo for biosafety reasons during their time volunteering - have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - be able to perform volunteer duties in varied weather conditions - have a willingness to get their hands dirty |
