Position Summary


The Director position is a volunteer role on the Board of Directors. The volunteer Board of Directors, on behalf of all Manitobans and visitors to our province, provides overall leadership, policy development, and strategic direction to the Manitoba Children's Museum.


Nominees should have demonstrated leadership at the local or national level, possess demonstrated excellence in their own field of expertise, and be enthusiastic about volunteering their support to the Manitoba Children's Museum and its future. The Board Nominating Committee is seeking individuals with priority given to the following skills and expertise:







  • Accounting/Finance

  • Actuarial/Risk Management

  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilities/Project Management

  • Technology



  • Strategic-minded individuals with the ability to think big picture and long-term

  • Ability to make a contribution of time and energy through active participation on the Board and Board Committee(s)

Call For Nominations


The Board of Directors uses a Policy Governance model. In accordance with the Manitoba Children's Museum Bylaws, the Board Nominating Committee is responsible for recommending Directors for consideration by the Board of the Manitoba Children's Museum for a term of two years to be followed by two renewal terms of two years each in length. The Committee is pleased to call for nominations to the Board of Directors for the term commencing June 2025.
