Description of Duties:

Assist with administrative tasks related to Northern Healthy Foods Initiative Program which include :



  • Review relevant online resource materials

  • Assist with regular administrative dutiesw including data entry and filing

  • Promote and update NHFI social media pages- Facebook, Instagram.).

  • Create event posters using Canva.

  • Assist with organizing NHFI community workshops and events (i.e. NHFI Workshops (spring/fall seasons) AGM, 'Grow North' Gathering. Obtain food sovereignty/security resources, program incentives.

  • Assist in digitalizing file system from hard copy

  • Assist with NHFI reporting activities (phone call reminders, document scanning, filing, photo/media release forms, photo labeling).

Skills Required:

  • Education or experience in Administrative Studies

  • Good planning, initiative and organizational skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Phone and email communication experience

  • Ability to work well with people

  • Knowledge of food security, Indigenous Studies, Agriculture, Natural Resources or Nutritional Sciences an asset

  • Available for limited travel with the NHFI Program Coordinator during spring and fall seasons
