Description of Duties: | The Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities (MLPD) has proudly been a cornerstone of Manitoba's social justice community since 1974. MLPD is a provincial not-for-profit organization committed to fostering an accessible and inclusive society where everyone can benefit from equitable opportunities to fully participate with respect and dignity. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to advocate, educate, and provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of topics and issues related to accessibility. The Role: MLPD is looking for an experienced fundraising leader to join its Provincial Council of Representatives as the Fundraising Committee Chair. Representatives are dedicated volunteers with lived experience with disabilities or gifts who oversee the good governance and fiscal sustainability of MLPD. They bring their life experiences, networks, and skills to the forefront of Manitoba's accessibility movement, advancing MLPD's mission and driving meaningful social change.

Skills Required: | The ideal candidate will have a non-profit leadership background, with experience overseeing fundraising projects, managing donor and sponsorship relationships, and writing grants. They should demonstrate a collaborative leadership style, excel in relationship-building, and possess outstanding communication skills. Working toward or being a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) would be considered an asset. |
