Organizational Description: Red River Exhibition Park is managed by the Red River Exhibition Association, which is a non-profit, self-sustaining, volunteer-driven organization with roots as an agricultural society. Exhibition Park is home to more than 240 event days a year, including the The EX, Witchy Wonderland, Canad Inns Winter Wonderland, and Manitoba Standardbred Harness Racing.

Description of Duties:

Become a volunteer at Manitoba's largest outdoor fair! The Ex welcomes over 200,000 guests each year, and is filled with all sorts of entertainment and activities for each and every guest over this 10 day event.
A variety of customer service positions are available, including exhibit monitor, info booth attendant, and many others. Check out the Volunteer page on our website and complete the application form today!


Add to the success of The EX by using your excellent customer service skills, including:


- Greet guests in a pleasant and welcoming manner;


- Provide event information and answer questions for guests;


- Anticipate guest needs;


- Keep you area of responsibility neat and tidy;


- Report any issues or concerns in regards to the event or guests promptly to your supervisor;


- The ability to work in various weather conditions (extra planning and preparation may be needed)


- Other duties may be assigned.

   
Skills Required:

Practice your incredible customer service skills, including:


- Be attentive and responsive to guests while practicing your quick-thinking, active listening and effective communication skills;


- Be alert and aware of the activities happening in your area of responsibility;


- Be proactive in keeping your area of responsibility neat and tidy;


- Be friendly to guests;


- Practice excellent time management skills before and during your shift.

A variety of shifts are available throughout this exciting 10-day event! The full event hours are listed below, however, volunteer shifts consist of blocks of 3-8-hour shifts, and are coordinated within your availability.
