Description of Duties:

Position Summary:


The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Festival Operations Director and plays a key role in helping to manage, volunteer logistics, and on-site service calls during the Pride Festival, Parade, and other special events. This role ensures smooth and efficient operations by overseeing transportation, coordinating setup and takedown volunteers, and responding to service calls as needed.


Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with the Festival Operations Director to execute transportation and logistics plans for Pride Weekend.

  • Manage volunteer coordination for setup, takedown, and on-site service calls to support festival operations.

  • Assist with transportation logistics, including pickups and drop-offs for Pride events.

  • Supervise and coordinate logistics volunteers to ensure effective operations.

  • Respond to and manage service calls during the festival to address operational needs.

  • Assist with event setup and takedown, ensuring all logistical components are in place.

  • Represent Pride Winnipeg in a professional and responsible manner at all times.

   
Skills Required:

  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and have access to a vehicle.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as part of event setup and takedown.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced event environment.

  • Experience in logistics, event/festival operations, or volunteer coordination is considered an asset.

  • Comfortable driving larger vehicles would be an asset.
