Description of Duties:

Camp Quality offers fun camp programs for children affected by cancer and rare blood diseases and their families. Our programs are designed to meet the unique physical, social and psychological needs of our campers.


At camp, we provide a safe environment where kids are free to define themselves without the stigma of illness.


Camp Quality Manitoba is a one-week overnight camp, located in the Whiteshell at Variety's Camp Brereton.


As a Camp Nurse, you'll be reporting to the Medical Coordinator and will be responsible for providing high quality nursing and care to our campers and volunteers. As part of the Health Care Team, Camp Nurses support by providing first aid, administering medications and treatments as required; all while maintaining accurate documentation standards. They will be required to uphold Camp Quality's policies, procedures and guidelines including COVID-19 guidelines. Camp Nurses will only practice within their scope deemed by the College of Nurses in their Province.

   
Skills Required:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses, appropriate to the Province of respective work

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR & AED

  • Experience working with children or youth preferred

  • Able to provide 3 references

  • Available for an online interview


Once Confirmed:



  • Able to provide a clear and current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

  • Proof of up-to date immunizations (MMR, Pertussis, Tetanus, Varicella)

  • Complete a mandatory training
