Description of Duties:

The Winnipeg Unity Hub is a community-driven initiative designed to bring people together in a safe, welcoming space to discuss mental health, build friendships, and support one another. Our monthly gatherings provide an opportunity for individuals to share their experiences, access resources, and feel a sense of belonging.


As a Peer Support Volunteer, you will attend monthly Winnipeg Unity Hub events and help create a supportive, inclusive environment. You will engage with attendees in a friendly and compassionate manner, helping to foster connections and meaningful conversations.


This role involves providing informal peer support by listening, encouraging, and uplifting those who need a sense of belonging. Volunteers will help newcomers feel welcomed and comfortable, ensuring that everyone has a positive experience. You may also assist with event activities such as setting up, greeting attendees, and facilitating discussions.


This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping others feel seen, heard, and valued. Volunteers will gain experience in peer support, mental health advocacy, and community building. Being part of this initiative provides a chance to join a network of like-minded individuals who care about mental wellness and inclusivity.
