Organizational Description: The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's (WRHA) Community Health and Corporate Services Volunteer Program provides meaningful public engagement, develops effective partnerships, mobilizes appropriate volunteer and community resources, supports a positive working environment and enhances the WRHA's capacity to support and deliver quality services.

Volunteers are placed in the community, supporting a variety of programs within Public Health, Primary Care and Corporate.

Description of Duties:

We are currently recruiting volunteers to support our in-person Mental Health and Addictions Youth Advisory. These will be held one evening every two months from 5:30 to 8:00pm.


We are looking for youth (ages 14 to 17 years old) who have a passion for, and a commitment to improving mental health and addictions services in Winnipeg. It's a great opportunity to get involved, have your voice heard and meet youth with similar interests.


We hope that the volunteers on our advisory can share their experiences and insights about youth mental health and addictions. We want you to help give feedback on different parts of WRHA's youth mental health and addiction services, and offer advice on the best ways to engage and recruit other young people.

As a volunteer for the WRHA Youth Mental Health and Addictions you will:

Time Commitment:
Evening

We meet one evening every two months, from 5:30-8:00pm. There is no minimum or maximum time commitment for Advisory members.
