| Description of Duties: | Do you want to create change in your community? Connect with other young people and other community organization in your city? We got you! RISE is a program where you will have the opportunity to co-create and co-implement a community project that aims to get young people more engaged in their communities. This is a 15 week program where you will be provided the tools, resources, and skills (through training and workshops), and most importantly the funding ($4000) to create a community project on an issue you care about! RISE is designed for young people with little to no previous experience in volunteering. We mean it! You don't need to have ANY previous experience. If you're aged between 18 to 30, this is your chance to learn about community work, build confidence and make new connections in a supportive environment. | Time Commitment: | Evening The RISE program requires a 6 hour commitment every week. 3 of those hours will be in in-person at an accessible location within Winnipeg. The in-person meeting time takes place from 6:00pm - 9:00pm on the same day every week (this day is chosen by the accepted group of Ambassadors) |
