| Description of Duties: | Are you passionate about creating meaningful connections and making a difference in the lives of seniors in our community? The West End Resource Centre is looking for a dedicated volunteer to oversee our Best Years Seniors Club! Role Details As a Seniors Group Facilitator, you will: • Help plan and organize engaging activities for the group with the help of the Community Programs Supervisor. • Foster a warm, inclusive environment for seniors to connect and enjoy. • Work with staff and guest speakers to ensure sessions are informative and enjoyable. • Offer guidance and support during group meetings. |
| Skills Required: | • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly attitude. • Ability to commit 3 hours per week, primarily during seniors group sessions (Group runs Tuesday 1pm-3pm). • Experience working with seniors (an asset but not required). • A desire to contribute to the well-being of our community. • Possess or be willing to provide a current clear Criminal Record, Child & Adult Abuse/Vulnerable Sector Search prior to beginning volunteering. WERC will provide these checks for you at no charge. • Be a part of a vibrant, community-driven organization. • Gain valuable experience in program facilitation. • Make a direct impact on the lives of seniors in Winnipeg's West End. • Have fun while giving back!
