Organizational Description: We are a feminist community health clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Since 1981, we have offered a range of services. We maintain the name Women's Health Clinic due to the history and ongoing need for a safe place for women. We welcome other genders including Two-Spirit, genderqueer, trans and non-binary people. We also welcome males in some programs, recognizing that there are barriers to care for all genders.

Description of Duties:

Fundraising Program Volunteer


Position Overview:
The Women's Health Clinic (WHC) is seeking dedicated individuals who are interested in volunteering as Fundraising Volunteers. Your support is crucial in helping us continue to provide vital services to our clients and empowering them to take charge of their mental, emotional, physical, sexual, and spiritual health and well-being.


As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will work closely with the Manager of Fund Development, contributing to donor stewardship and engagement efforts that sustain and enhance our programs. Your involvement will directly impact our ability to serve women in our community.


Description of Duties:



  • Donor Stewardship: Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective donors. This includes regular communication, thank-you notes, and updates on the impact of their contributions.

  • Fundraising Campaign Support: Help plan and implement various fundraising campaigns and events. This may include organizing community outreach efforts, engaging local businesses, and collaborating with other volunteers to maximize impact.

  • Event Coordination: Participate in the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring they align with WHC's mission and values while attracting community support.

  • Research and Outreach: Identify potential donors and sponsors, conduct outreach to engage them in supporting WHC's mission, and assist in maintaining a database of donor information.

  • Promotion of Services: Share information about WHC's services and initiatives with the community, helping to raise awareness and encourage support for women's health issues.
