| Organizational Description: | L'Arche Winnipeg is a vibrant disability services organization that is primarily located in Transcona and St. Boniface. For over 50 years, we have been actively supporting, creating homes, and facilitating social and employment opportunities for about 25 people living with intellectual disabilities. Our diverse community includes six houses, one Supported Independent Living unit, the L'Arche Tova Café and an extended network of friends who are passionate about creating a world where all people can thrive. |

| Description of Duties: | The feel-good event of the year is back - for its 21st year! Join us on Sunday May 4th, 2025 to help us host the 21st annual Vickar automotive "Walk with L'Arche" at the Oxford Heights Community Club! By joining our volunteer team, you're not only helping us raise money to support people with intellectual disabilities, but you can enter to win prizes and enjoy our live music, free BBQ lunch and entertainment. Your time and energy will help make this a special day for over 300 friends of L'Arche. We're recruiting for a variety of volunteer positions: - Set-up Crew: unpacking and moving supplies, setting up the venue for the event - Kitchen Crew: organizing, preparing, and serving food/drink - Registration Table: registering participants and selling raffle tickets - Parking attendants: coordinating the parking lot as participants arrive - Walk Marshals: cheering on walk participants, giving directions, monitoring safety throughout the walk - Clean-up Crew: cleaning up the venue and packing up supplies after the event |
