| Organizational Description: | We are a volunteer run organization that arranges an outdoor curling bonspiel on the Red River in Winnipeg over the first full February weekend (Fri-Sun). Funds raised from the bonspiel support the Heart and Stroke Foundation and HOPE worldwide Canada. First established in 2001 with 11 teams at the first event in 2002, we have had as many as 72 teams participate in our annual bonspiel event, which makes us the largest outdoor curling bonspiel in Canada. We still have room to grow with the wonderful support from all the great volunteers we meet. |

| Description of Duties: | Managing the accounting for the annual bonspiel. Working with bank account, paying vendors, charity and tax receipts. Reconcile transactions over PayPal, website and cash from donors. Monthly report, draft and finalize annual budget. Working with committee to plan and execute bonspiel. Annual budget is $20,000. |
| Skills Required: | Accounting skills. Familiar with Excel, PayPal and financial statements. Organized, strong communicator and timely. Able to work with different sponsors, organizations and volunteers. |

| Time Commitment: | A core role in the organization. Time commitment is higher in the months of January and February when the event takes place. Other months are a reflection of your ability to organize and maintain records. Weekend of event is busy for all committee members is this is the goal and purpose of our event. |
