Social Media Coordinator

Are you passionate about cats, social media, and creating eye-catching content?

Cats Advocacy Team of Manitoba is looking for a creative and motivated volunteer to help us manage our growing presence on Instagram and Facebook! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to feline welfare and advocacy. You'll be our first dedicated social media volunteer, making a significant impact by engaging with our community and helping to promote responsible cat ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and post content regularly on our Instagram and Facebook pages


• Respond to comments, messages, and community inquiries on both platforms


• Create engaging graphics using Canva that align with our brand and mission


• Help brainstorm new, fun, and creative ideas to grow our online presence

Requirements:

• Proficient in using Canva for content creation


• Experience with managing Instagram and Facebook accounts

• Passionate about cats and animal welfare


• Able to commit to posting and engaging on social media at least a few times a week

Bonus Points:

• Photography or videography skills for capturing live moments with cats


• Experience with social media growth strategies and analytics

Volunteering as a Social Media Coordinator for Cats Manitoba offers valuable experience in managing Instagram and Facebook accounts, creating content with Canva, and engaging with an online community. You'll develop skills in social media strategy, community engagement, and time management while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit advocacy. The time commitment will vary, when events are happening, there will be more time required, however the average time commitment will only be a few hours per week.
