Description of Duties:	At Actionmarguerite St. Vital, we have a little bar for residents, their families, and friends can enjoy a drink together. This volunteer role is to assist in creating a home-like environment by providing bar service for residents and their guest. This is a fun opportunity for those who would like to gain customer services skills or for those who love chatting with others! Duties and Responsibilities: Pick-up and wipe tables before bar opens. Take orders from residents, patients and guests. Report order to bartender. Record sales (cash and trust); make change for those paying by cash. Serve beverages. Interact with clients. Wipe tables, pick-up empty glasses and beer bottles as required. Tidy-up at the end of the shift. Take dirty dishes, trays, crates and cart to Dietary. Review the list of those who cannot have alcohol on a regular basis

Skills Required:	Minimum 18 years old Patient, flexible, and punctual Active listener who can listen without giving advice Good people skills to talk with residents, family, staff, and volunteers Caring, compassionate, and committed Able to follow directions and show good judgment Works well with the team Satisfactory Criminal Record, Adult Abuse Registry, and Child Abuse Registry Checks (for individuals aged 18 and above) Acceptable reference checks

Skills Gained/Related Careers:	Skills Gained: Customer service, communication, cash handling, and teamwork. Related Careers: Bartender, server, hospitality and dietary aide.

Age:	18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment:	Daytime Shifts are from 1:45pm - 4:15pm 1 to 2 Shifts a week
