Organizational Description: LITE's mission is to promote Community Economic Development (CED) by supporting inner city programs in Winnipeg that provide jobs and training opportunities to the chronically underemployed. We do this by providing grants to partner organizations running these specific programs and by making strategic purchases to support the inner-city economy and employment. LITE directs donations to support jobs, and more importantly, to help people who want to overcome the challenges they face. Our name says it all: We invest locally toward employment.

Description of Duties:

- Helping to load, transport and set up a table of merchandise at the West Broadway Community Centre's Farmers Market (through the Good Food Club).


- Hanging out with me for the day, selling/interacting with the people attending the market


- Event tear down, clean up & bringing everything back to our office

   
Skills Required:

- Good interpersonal skills - friendly!


- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


- Ability to lift/carry bins, etc (nothing too heavy)


- The skill of having/driving a vehicle!

- Experience working in a fast-paced (but friendly!) environment.

The event goes from 3pm-6pm so I think the time commitment would be approx 2pm-6:30pm. Enough time to grab everything from our office, take it to the festival and set up/tear down and bring it back afterwards. We will reimburse for gas!
