Description of Duties:

As a Referral Specialist, you'll act as a crucial link between potential volunteers and organizations seeking their support. Your role will involve conducting personalized consultations with individuals, assessing their interests, skills, and availability, and then referring them to suitable volunteer opportunities within our extensive network of partner organizations.


• Learn about current volunteer roles.
• Identify potential volunteer opportunities for individuals based on their interests using Volunteer Manitoba's website.
• Create awareness of the services we offer at Volunteer Manitoba.
• Collate statistics from each referral either by phone, walk-in or by email that will be used to support the documentation of project activities in the annual report.

   
Skills Required:

• Preference will be given to applicants who are comfortable connecting with people and answering questions.
• Has English or French verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly and passionate about helping people.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office tools.

   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

• Make connections with various non-profits and charities in Manitoba.
• Gain experience doing referrals.
• Gain experience providing support to others in a professional setting.
• Improve your networking skills.
