Description of Duties:

We need experienced and dedicated volunteer to be part of our in-person activities. Explore our website to learn more about our mission and mandate. Submit your CV/Resume.

Duties will include:
-Must have confidence in writing good English not only in speaking it.
-Act as a positive role model; to demonstrate enhancing solid academic foundation.
-Assist to reinforce program guidelines as appropriate
-Maintain good communication with CFI volunteers
-Requests staff and board for assistance as necessary
-Minimize distractions in class

Child Abuse Registry will be investigated. CFI will pay for the cost as necessary. You will support students 9 years - 24 years with activities that will boost their interest in education.

The volunteers we need will work with a small group of children to focus in class, reading and participate with attention during our programming, which may include Art, Computer coding, Web design, and Mentoring. Creative Foundation will provide orientation to qualified volunteers. We will be happy to provide you with a reference when needed and sign off on your volunteer hours.

- Great with speaking and writing in English
- A good listener
- Attentive and calm
- Love Winnipeg, Manitoba and like to give back to the city
- Want children to succeed and enjoy working with them
- Reliable and not giving unnecessary excuses

   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

- Teaching experience will be an asset or at least interested
- Experience working with learners from a variety of background and social status.
- Literacy tutoring skills
