Organizational Description: Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba is a private, non-profit, community-based charitable agency, directed by a community-elected and community-represented Board of Directors. Description of Duties:

ParentChild+ is an early literacy program designed to support parents in their role as their child's first and most important teacher.
A Home Visitor is matched with a parent and their two-year-old child, and visits the family's home twice a week, for half an hour.
The Home Visitor brings books and toys to the home and models play and positive interaction between parent and child.

You can maintain boundaries while building a strong relationship with a family.

Time Commitment:
Daytime
Evening

Initial training is about 12 hours spread over several evenings or weekend days.
Total weekly commitment is about three hours, which includes two home visits, one weekly meeting, and completing short reports.
Visit times are arranged to suit the schedules of the family and Home Visitor.
We ask that a Home Visitor is willing to commit to one program year, which typically runs from October through May.
