| Description of Duties: | Henteleff Park Foundation is seeking a Chair of the Communications Committee. This volunteer is also a member of the Henteleff Park Foundation Board of Directors. The Communications Chair guides committee members in presenting the public face of the Foundation through social, community and mainstream media, as well as the Henteleff Park website, twice yearly newsletters and public events. |
| Skills Required: | Excellent organizational and communication skills Experience in public relations and event planning Strong writing skills and design sense Familiarity with Outlook, Word and Excel. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | The Chair of Communications will learn about the lands, plants and wildlife of Henteleff Park and have the opportunity to help guide the future of this gem in south St. Vital. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic Board committed to the preservation of Henteleff Park. |

| Time Commitment: | The Chair attends both Committee and Board meetings. The Committee meets monthly, mainly by Zoom for up to 90 minutes. The Board meets monthly, except in the summer, mainly by Zoom. Board attendance includes one annual general meeting and one annual planning session. Other duties vary the time commitment according to meeting outcomes, time of year, and the specific activities of the Committee. |
